There's a variety of restaurants right here in the valley, and some great shopping too. From the offerings at the Coyote Grill, to the Italian fare at Aglio, from the great sandwiches at the JugTown sandwich shop to the fresh hot pizza at the Olde Waterville Pizza Company, great food variety can be found here at Waterville Valley. Many outdoor programs are offered by the Curious George Cottage. Founded by the Rey family (authors of the Curious George book written right here in Waterville Valley) the Rey family has always promoted education through experience in what nature has to offer. Guided hikes, snowshoeing, astronomy programs, are just a few of the programs offered here. In its second season, Shakespeare in the Valley offers professional theater in an outdoor setting. The company produces two of the Bard's classics each summer as well as a special Sugar Coated Shakespeare for the kid in all of us. Even if you cringe at the thought of attending a Shakespeare production fight your first inclination and go and enjoy a first rate performance. You'll be glad you did! Bring a blanket, picnic basket and bottle of wine then sit back be thoroughly entertained.
